The first solo exhibition and his breakthrough: eight mask-like heads in concrete.
His first solo exhibition, at Kunstnerforbundet in Oslo in 1973, was his breakthrough. Enstad showed eight mask-like, expressionless heads in concrete with titles such as «Makt» (Power), «Lov og orden» (Law and Order), «Rådgiver» (Adviser), «Evnukk» (Eunuch) and «Borgerskapets diskrete sjarm» (The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie).
H. Flor later called them «anti-monuments to the representatives of power» (Samtiden, 1979).
