His last exhibitions: Hå Old Vicarage in 2012 and Kunstbanken in Hamar in the autumn of 2013, opened after his death.
In the spring of 2012, the year before he died, Enstad showed sculptures and photomontages at Hå Old Vicarage on Jæren. The exhibition went with the book «Den som har noko å fara med – han fer» (2012, edited by Stig Andersen). Many of the works were made during long stays in Chongqing and Beijing.
Kunstbanken Hedmark Art Centre in Hamar had been planning an exhibition with him since 2011. It opened on 2 November 2013, three months after his death, and ran until 30 December. It was based mainly on the works from Hå: a tall sculpture in polished steel, shipped from China that summer and not shown before, thirteen abstract heads in bronze (65–105 cm) cast at a foundry in Geleshan, Chongqing, photomontages from the 1970s transferred to metal plates, and photograms in which landscapes are made directly on the photographic paper with chemicals and light.
