Stimen – på vei mot dypet
Eighteen small frogmen in shiny golden polyester, floating on steel wire.
Eighteen stylised frogmen in cast, amber-coloured polyester hang on steel wire and form a shoal that seems to swim downwards, towards the deep. The work is from the same year as «Froskemannskoret» (The Frogman Choir), when the frogman became Enstad’s recurring motif.
It was moved to Tromsø about ten years after it was first shown. Today the figures hang on steel cables under the ceiling in front of a window at the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Education, where KORO picks out the work among the art on campus.
KORO gives the dimensions as 35 × 8 × 5 cm.
